Gymboree Play & Music, KinderCare AG, Küsnacht (ZH)

The installations are very well designed for babies and little children. This children care facility is very well equipped with all kinds of toys, mats, play things that can be paradise to any girl or boy.

The instructors are professional and are asked to meet a schedule for every class, so you don’t see any improvised session. Specifically, the instructor that we had seems to care about every baby of the class, so for example my baby feels at home there.

The location can be a problem if you don’t live near Küsnacht. We have to travel around 40 minutes to get there which of course it is not very practical when you have a baby.

When the class gets top overcrowded, your baby or child might not get all the attention from the instructor, but this is always a common problem in any full class.

Baby yoga

Baby Yoga, Birthlight Zürich, Grüngasse 21, 8004

The baby yoga course helped me to lose fear of how to carry my baby. At the beginning, I was very afraid that my baby will get hurt very easily by the way that I carried her, that I would not dare to explore different movements than the conventional ones.

I found out that she actually loves some of the exercises that you learn on this class and help her to sleep profoundly because she gets exhausted.

Since the class is divided half time for the mother doing yoga, half time for the baby and mother exercises, the baby might get very easily bored during the first half hour.

The instructors that we have contact with sometimes seem to forget the main purpose of the course which is to bring mothers and babies together by doing yoga. They tend to focus in financial matters such as making sure every one paid their fees and seem to get annoyed when someone asks them for information outside the class.

Babys im Wasser, Postfach 184 6318 Walchwil

This course gives the baby the opportunity to experience another environment as the one she/he is used to. It also helps the parents or mothers to overcome their fear of their baby being in water. Which opens a lot of possibilities for fun things to do with your baby.

The instructor does not seem very enthusiastic most of the time. The course could be even more interesting and enjoyable for the babies if the atmosphere were more engaging.

About us

Tuesday, September 26th, 2006

I am very proud mother of a happy baby girl. Since the beginning of my pregnancy, I decided to stay a hundred percent with my baby for at least her two years of life even though I have a professional career. So to make the most of this time with my baby, we have been enrolling in different activities as well as meeting groups that are alike to our goals.

This has been such a wonderful experience as we have met several people, some of whom eventually have turned out to be our friends. Additionally, we have been learning activities that have helped us to integrate and better understand ourselves as a family.

I want to share all the information that we have collected and intend to create a source of information of activities for families or mother-babies who live near Zurich.

This blog is a non profit, not sponsored by any company. You will find my own experiences on each activity that we have attended which are divided between advantages and disadvantages. Use it according to your own opinions and criteria.

Since this blog is new, please feel free to share any information by commenting on the blog or send me an email

I hope that you will find it interesting and that it helps you to enjoy your time with your baby as much as I have with mine!
